EPiK - Education Partners in Kiribati

Education Partners in Kiribati (EPiK) is a body formulated by the Ministry of Education in 2013 to assist with coordinating the delivery of quality education. An EPiK strategy was developed to provide a framework in which all partners are included and their support is coordinated for the achievement of Kiribati’s national goals for education.

Education in Kiribati is ‘everyone’s business.’ EPiK supports the Ministry to bring together all the partners to achieve this goal, based on the Ministry’s current Strategic Plan 2016-2019

EPiK partners meet regularly to share information and discuss progress and challenges. Minutes of EPiK meetings, along with power point presentations, are available at this link. EpiK Folders

Information about the next EPiK (November 2019) meeting is available here: EPiK2019-Docs

EPiK is guided and informed by Kiribati priorities, systems, and ownership for efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability. EPiK also looks to support activities within the Ministry of Education’s Operational Plans (MOP) as aligned to the Government of Kiribati’s Development Plans (KDP) and the 20 Years Visions - KV20 http://www.mfed.gov.ki/publications/kv20-vision

Partners who have an investment in education, including other Government Departments, local communities, churches, and development partners meet regularly to share information and discuss progress and challenges, and future plans.
